History
Lamborghini, a definitive Italian manufacturer of fine luxury sports cars, is headquartered in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy. Ferruccio Lamborghini (born a Taurus, hence the company logo) founded the company in 1963 with the specific objective of producing a refined grand touring car to compete with Ferrari. Prior to this, Ferruccio was a tractor tycoon and as such, could indulge in his love of sports cars. The Lamborghini company has had various owners, but in 1998, they became a subsidiary of German car manufacturer Audi AG, which itself is a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group. The Lamborghini is noted for power, comfort, style and refinement.
